He stole my heart….so I’m stealing his last name ♥

I have been out of college for officially 2 weeks now & I already feel like I’ve accomplished so much. I have many things to look forward to & there are so many things I want to do, I don’t even know where to start! As of right now, what I’m looking forward to the most is what’s going to happen in a week… I get to see my best friend, whom I’m grateful to call my fiancé. He leaves for a 6 month deployment in May….

I think about the saying “everything happens for a reason”. A big reason I chose to go to UCI was because I wanted to go to their NY Satellite program. I ended up not going… I ended up not getting that community assistant job I was in the running for… I ended up not getting some things I wanted… Yet you know what?? All of these let downs ultimately led me to being able to graduate early. I knew God had a plan for me & I trusted him…If I didn’t graduate early, I wouldn’t have this opportunity to spend over a month (aside from when he’s at work/underway) of quality time with Robert before he deploys. In the almost 4 years that we’ve been officially together, the longest time we’ve spent together consecutively is less than 2 weeks. True story. We’ll see each other for a few days or so on an average of 2-3 months. I truly feel like we deserve this time together… we’ve been through so much… I’m excited to get a glimpse of married life :)

I’m excited to walk him to his ship in the morning (if I’m not too tired! lol)
I’m excited to get the chance to cook him dinner when he gets off work.
I’m excited to spend time with my husband-to-be.
I’m looking forward to all of this things….

What I’m not looking forward to is kissing him goodbye & watching his ship take off for deployment… but lets take it one day at a time, shall we?
